After my meeting and visiting with Sammie and Carson, I went to Michael's and bought a bunch of supplies. I had a coupon that was for 20% off my entire order. Can't wait to make more stuff.

Another cool thing is that I decided to join Silhouette Machine:theCREATIVEplace on Flickr. I uploaded a bunch of the stuff I've made and actually got a couple of nice comments. It's a fun place to be for crafty ideas. Here is the link:

Today after my meeting in SLC I stopped off to visit Sammie and Carson. Isn't he the cutest. He as grown in just the 12 days since I saw him last.

More Craft Stuff

Here are a couple of new things that I made. The first is a glass etching of the Chinese love symbol. It's for Aaron and Heidi's wedding gift. I'm going to put in some rocks and Lucky Bamboo. I might add a ribbon around it, but will decide that after I see how it looks with the bamboo in it.

The second is the Easter card I'm sending out this year. I made it in four different colors. Green is shown here, but also have it in pink, purple, & blue. I made 20 cards, so took me a while to do.

Fun Times!

Last Thursday and Friday the Pittman girls had a sleep over at my house. It was great having them here. I have posted some pics.

I made this cute tin purse for Jadeyn. I'm hoping she will love it. It can be used as a "busy box", or "on the go box", or even a "quiet box" for church.
I'm excited to have Stacie, Jadeyn, & Jessie come spend Thursday and part of Friday with me. It will be fun to have them here.

Yesterday I had quite a busy day. Was up at 5:00, but I wasn't suppose to start work until 10:00 and silly me thought I could sleep in. No way! Millie always wants me up the same time everyday no matter what. I guess 5:00 am is sleeping in when normally I'm up at 4:30. Good thing I love that little dog as much as I do. I only worked 2 1/2 hours and then went to Salt Lake to take Sammie and Carson to his Dr. appointment at Primary Children's Hospital.

I'll tell you what they don't put any effort into moving things along at that hospital. We ended up being there for 3 1/2 hours and probably only had Dr time for 30 min. It was crazy! What I did enjoy about that trip was that I got to hold my little Grandson and rock him to sleep. Sammie told me it wouldn't last more than 5 min, but Grammy Val was able to keep him asleep, as long as I stood and rocked, for 45 min.

By time we were finished with the appointment and I dropped Sammie and Carson off at their home it was 5:00. Well you know what 5:00 means when you're in Salt Lake, TRAFFIC!! I was a bit worried, because I was suppose to be to my Stampin-up club at 6:30 in Salem. Stopped at Del Taco and got a quick bite then headed home. It was getting dark and I only had my sunglasses with me, so before I went to club I ran home, got my glasses, fed the dogs and was out the door.

It was nice getting to visit with Crystal and Pam at club and Pam had two wonderful projects for us. I have added a couple of pictures to show our projects.




Got home by about 8:30 sat down on the computer to catch up on email and Facebook and then went and relaxed with the dogs for a while and watched TV.

Today, I'm just going to relax, do crafts, and hopefully get my rear in gear and get some exercising in.

Thankful

Even though I wasn't able to have children of my own, I'm very thankful to be Sammie's other mom and that I'm Aunt Val to a lot of wonderful people. Most of whom are not even blood relatives. In my relationships throughout my life I have become close to a lot of great kids that have grown into wonderful adults. I was reminded today how lucky I am when Chantell wanted to add my blog to hers and follow what I've been up to. I love her tons and am so happy that she is still a part of my life. She has a beautiful little girl named Brightyn and I can't wait to watch her grow.
